I was able to set the DPF ash value back its previous values per your instructions. I took the car for a drive as soon as I made the ECU reset.. and immediately I noticed the car regen (by the idle RPM being slightly elevated). A few minutes later (the DPF warning light came back on), which was where I was before I did the DPF reset. But I'm
had my car diagnosed the other day as the DPF light has started flashing, i have had it serviced and oil changed so i knew it wasnt that. they said code P1336 was set which means the camshaft position sensor is malfunctioning sending erratic signals. took the sensor out gave it a clean and put it back in, tried resetting it after that and the
Second step is to reset the values by tricking the computer to think DPF was replaced. It will divide the "calculated mass" by 2. If it is still above the threshold of 40, you will need to do it once more. After that is done, you can start emergency regen (I strongly recommend to do the "regen while driving").
